A Wine & Words creative writing excursion and wine tasting featuring famed New Jersey writer, Teresa Politano, will be held at Mount Salem Vineyards on Sunday, February 10, 2019 2:00-4:00 PM.
Wine as writing, wine as life. Spend a unique afternoon tasting wine and writing in the creative workshop where attendees will compare the structure, joy and language of wine to the structure, joy and language of storytelling.
Learn first from world-class winemaker Peter Leitner about the process of creating fine wines, from seedling to glass, and how to identify the integrity of a wine, its bouquet, its finish. Apply the lessons of that journey to your storytelling through a series of guided writing exercises led by award-winning editor and author Teresa Politano.
Along with the wine, enjoy light refreshments, all made on the premises with ingredients raised within a mile of the vineyard.
- Winemaker Peter Leitner is the founder of Mount Salem Vineyards, producer of world class wines in nearby Hunterdon County, New Jersey.
- Teresa Politano is an author, journalist and adjunct professor at Rutgers University. She is editor of Edible Jersey magazine, and is pursuing an MFA at Vermont College of Fine Arts.
